Founding & Managing Partner
Scott founded Brawn Capital in 2015 and leads the firm as CEO, overseeing strategy, capital formation, and the full investment lifecycle, from origination and structuring through execution, asset management, and exit. He also founded Manoa Energy, Brawn’s Japan-focused development platform. Scott invests across sustainable infrastructure with a focus on the energy transition, including grid-scale battery storage.
Before Brawn Capital, Scott began his career at Citadel, where he became Director of Portfolio Finance; he then served as Portfolio Manager for Asian convertibles at Stark Investments. In 2003 he joined Pine River Capital as a Senior Trader and, in 2007, moved to Hong Kong to launch and lead Pine River’s Asian office. Scott holds an MBA in Finance & Economics from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a BBA from the University of Toledo.
